Information you provide when creating an account

• First name and email address
• Password (stored as an encrypted hash — we never see it in plain text)
• Phone number, if you choose to provide one (optional)
• Age, biological sex, weight, height, and activity level — entered during onboarding to calculate your nutritional targets

Data stored on your device (not our servers)

Your recipes, meal plans, and food journal entries are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

What we do not collect

• We do not track which foods or recipes you search for
• We do not record your dietary choices or eating patterns
• We do not use advertising trackers or behavioral profiling tools
• We do not sell your data to any third party — ever

What is localStorage?

localStorage is a standard browser feature that saves small amounts of data directly on your device. Unlike cookies, it is never transmitted to a server. It works the same way a word processor saves a draft to your hard drive.

Clearing your local data

You can delete all locally stored app data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain. This is permanent and cannot be undone. Use the Export feature first if you want to save a backup.

We use your name and email to:

• Create and manage your account
• Send account confirmation and password reset emails
• Notify you of important service changes
• Respond to your support requests

We use your onboarding data (age, sex, weight, height, activity level) only to calculate your daily macro and calorie targets. This data is stored in your account profile and is used for no other purpose.

We do not use your email for advertising and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data. We have selected each one specifically because of its privacy and security standards.

Your recipe and meal plan data is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. For account data stored through Supabase, we rely on Supabase's enterprise-grade security infrastructure, which includes encryption at rest and in transit.

We recommend:

• Exporting your data periodically and keeping the backup in a safe location
• Not using the app on shared or public computers while signed in
• Keeping your browser up to date
• Using a strong, unique password for your account

YourMealPlanRX is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data
• Right to correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
• Right to opt out — unsubscribe from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email addresses in Section 9. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of YourMealPlanRX after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
